AI Transformation with Microsoft Copilot for Large Companies
encorp.ai leads AI transformation with Microsoft Copilot for large companies in Bulgaria — mass adoption by department within the Encorp AIM method. Each department goes through the three phases of the method in a package for a team of up to 20 people, led by an AI Director, and Microsoft Copilot training is part of phase 1.

What is the Microsoft Copilot track in Encorp AIM?
The Microsoft Copilot track is one of the two tracks of Encorp AIM and is designed for large corporations. It means mass adoption by department: instead of a small group of enthusiasts, whole teams start with Copilot, organised by department.
Microsoft Copilot is Microsoft’s AI assistant built into the Microsoft 365 apps; in Microsoft’s documentation the name “Microsoft 365 Copilot” has been replaced by “Microsoft Copilot” (Microsoft Learn). It works with the organisation’s data through Microsoft Graph and only surfaces data the user has at least view permission for.
The other track is tool-agnostic and is for selected advanced users and senior managers; the comparison is in the guide Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise or Claude: Which Fits Which Company.
The tool decision is made at organisation level, while rollout happens at department level — which is why the track is built around teams.
Who is the Microsoft Copilot track for?
The track is for large corporations where AI has to reach many people in different departments at once. When the goal is mass adoption, the work is organised by department: each department has its own team, its own processes and its own training.
If the goal is narrower — to train a few advanced users and senior leadership — the tool-agnostic track with ChatGPT, Claude and others is a better fit. The choice depends on scope, not on a preference for one vendor.
If you are not sure which track you need, start with the free AI readiness test and the AI Strategy Sprint: the paid sprint is the entry to the method and gives a basis for such a decision.
When there are many people, the order of rollout and the common rules matter as much as the tool itself. That is why the track combines training, pilot checks and implementation, arranged by department and led by an AI Director who keeps the overall picture.
How does rollout by department work?
Each department or team goes through the three phases of Encorp AIM. One package covers a team of up to 20 people — the maximum size of a training group — so a large company buys one package per team. Every package is led by an AI Director.
The table shows how the phases apply in each department. Copilot training is in phase 1, pilot checks on the department’s processes are in phase 2, and implementation with fine-tuning is in phase 3.
This way the rollout can proceed department by department, with the experience of one team carried over to the next.
The order of departments is a question for the initial analysis in phase 1: in which department rollout makes the most sense and when. For each department the results are described in advance, as in every package — packages are sold on results, not on hours.
| Phase | What happens in the department |
|---|---|
| Phase 1 — Enablement | Initial analysis of the department and Microsoft Copilot training |
| Phase 2 — Roadmap | A roadmap with PoCs on selected processes of the department |
| Phase 3 — Implementation | Implementation with fine-tuning in the department’s daily work |
How does it connect with Copilot training and with automations?
Training is the first step in every department. Its formats, duration and prices are on Microsoft Copilot training, and the general framework of training is on AI training for companies.
After training come the processes. The page on automations with Microsoft Copilot describes how Copilot Studio agents and automations are built in your Microsoft 365, and AI business process automation is the general approach to automations in phase 3.
All three pages point back to the Encorp AIM method, so you can move between training, automations and packages according to the stage you are at.
The sequence matters: training gives people a common language, and automations are built on processes the teams already understand. That is why training is in phase 1 and automations in phase 3. If you would rather start from another tool, see also the training for ChatGPT and Claude.
What should we check about data and governance before a mass rollout?
In a mass rollout, data questions are the most important part of preparation. The table collects the main statements from Microsoft’s documentation, each with its source; check them against your own licence and configuration as well.
The rules for AI in the organisation — who may use what and how the training record is kept — belong to AI governance and the EU AI Act. The AI literacy obligation under Article 4 is covered in the guide EU AI Act Article 4: AI Literacy — What Your Company Must Do.
The table is not a legal assessment and does not replace a review of your licence: the terms depend on your agreement with Microsoft and on your environment’s configuration. But it gives a list of questions worth asking before Copilot reaches many employees.

| Question | What the documentation says | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Are the models trained on our data? | Prompts, responses and data accessed through Microsoft Graph are not used to train foundation LLMs. | Microsoft Learn |
| What data can a user reach? | Copilot only surfaces data the user has at least view permission for. | Microsoft Learn |
| GDPR and EU data | Microsoft states compliance with the GDPR and with the EU Data Boundary commitments. | Microsoft Learn |
| Retention of history | Admins can search stored interactions and set retention policies through Microsoft Purview. | Microsoft Learn |
| Third-party models | The admin decides whether Anthropic and OpenAI models are used; additional terms may apply. | Microsoft Learn |
Frequently asked questions
What does mass adoption by department mean?
It means Microsoft Copilot is not given to just a few people but rolled out department by department. Each department is a team of up to 20 people and goes through the three phases of Encorp AIM in its own package, led by an AI Director.
Which companies is the Microsoft Copilot track for?
Large corporations. For selected advanced users and senior managers, the tool-agnostic track with ChatGPT, Claude and others is a better fit. The choice depends on the scope of the rollout; if you are unsure, the AI Strategy Sprint gives a basis for the decision. Both tracks are part of the same method.
How many packages do we need?
One package covers a team of up to 20 people. A large company buys one package per team, so the number of packages follows the number of teams that will work with Copilot. Pricing is on request. This way you can plan the rollout department by department and start with a small scope.
Does the track include Microsoft Copilot training?
Yes, training is part of phase 1 (Enablement) in every department. Its formats and prices are on the Microsoft Copilot training page, and the general framework is on the AI training for companies page. This way people get a common language for working with Copilot even before the first pilot checks.
Who leads the rollout?
Every package is led by an AI Director, who is responsible for direction and results across the package. The service is described on the AI Director page, and the role in the guide to a part-time AI Director. This way one person holds the overall picture for the whole package.
How much does the Microsoft Copilot track cost?
Pricing is on request and is not published. Packages are sold on results, not hours, and are modular — each component has its own price. The terms for Microsoft Copilot licences are described in the data and governance section of the page. Anything outside the described results is billed separately.
