How Much Does AI Training for a Company Cost in Bulgaria?

There are two public anchors from encorp.ai. The starter session — one half-day session, online or on-site — costs €1,200. The full programme of five half-day sessions, with an online exam and an attestation, costs €5,000 (formats and prices at encorp.ai). Both prices exclude VAT and apply to a group of up to 20 participants.

The figures are not a general market price for Bulgaria: they describe the formats of encorp.ai. Ranges for the market as a whole are in a separate section below.

The number of participants and the duration have the strongest effect. A group is up to 20 people, so a company with more people pays for several groups or for a corporate rollout. A half-day session and a programme of five sessions are different products at different prices.

Next come content and tool. Role-based training — sales, HR, finance, IT, leadership — needs preparation around each role’s tasks, and the tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) have programmes of their own; see AI training for companies and Microsoft Copilot training.

Finally, format and language: online or on-site, in Bulgarian or English, with an exam and attestation or without. The exam and attestation are not a legal requirement — the Commission expressly writes that no certificate is needed (Commission Q&A) — but they give an internal record for the company’s file.

The formats are not interchangeable: online group training, on-site group training and individual training are different products and are priced separately, as is corporate rollout across several teams. So do not compare ranges from different formats with each other.

If you compare offers from other providers, use the ranges only as a starting point and compare the duration, the number of participants and whether the training works on your people’s real tasks.

No. Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires AI literacy measures, but the Commission writes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach and no strict requirements or mandatory trainings are imposed (Commission Q&A). A certificate is not needed — an organisation can keep an internal record of training.

So the budget follows risk and roles, not a minimum number of hours. The Commission allows different levels of training for different people and notes that merely relying on a system’s instructions for use may be ineffective. Training is needed, but how much is for the company to decide.

The first hidden cost is people’s time. A half-day of training for 20 people is 10 person-days in which people are not doing their usual tasks; with a programme of five sessions the sum is proportionally larger. Time is planned in advance so that it does not disrupt the work.

The second is tools: if the company does not yet have licences for Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or another tool, they are calculated separately from the training fee. The third is follow-up practice — without it most of what is learned is lost, so it is worth planning against real tasks.

Finally, if training is part of a broader transformation, analyses, a roadmap and implementation come in as well. The right order then is the AI Strategy Sprint, followed by a package.

Each of these costs differs from company to company, so it is worth listing them before you request an offer.

Compare not only the price but also what you get for it. Two offers for €1,200 may include very different things: a general overview, or work on your people’s real tasks. The table collects the questions worth asking every provider.

Also think about how you will show that you have taken measures under Article 4: an internal record of completed training is acceptable according to the Commission, but it has to be accurate and kept up to date.

It is good practice to ask for the programme in advance and compare it with the roles in your company. Also ask who exactly delivers the training, what experience it rests on and how it is checked that people absorbed it; if a provider quotes figures, ask how they were measured.
